| Makes me think of a story DD just told me. She has a very good friend who has a Rosh Hashanah party every year. This year DD noticed that the candles were really getting low so she blew them out. Happily another guest saw her do this and explained that they are meant to burn down. DD did get them re-lit before the hostess noticed! |

| Over the years, I have seen a jillion mennorahs. I can't think of one which has piqued my interest like this one. AND, the peculiar thing is that I don't particularly care for anything modern or Jonathan Adler's work.....I prefer the traditional in everything. What a pleasant surprise.

With its stylized peacock shape, it would be a lovely object to display year 'round, even without candles. |

| And I forgot to say what I found particularly fascinating that gold was used instead of silver with the royal blue.
Although I think the base of turquoise and gold is interesting, what takes it over the edge into inspired is the use of the royal blue candles. |
