As you may remember, I was having issues coming up with window treatments.. I finally decided on just adding sheers for now until blinds are in the budget.

We bought our furniture from Macy's not even a year ago and I posted pictures then, but since, we have ripped out our old carpeting and discovered that we had hardwood underneath!! So, we had them finished right after Thanksgiving and have added an area rug (tiles from Flor).

Let me know what you think?

Love your room, where did you get your afghan? My daughter has those colors in her living room and is always looking for accessories.

Ah, the rest of the story. Thanks for posting back. The sheers add a finished and complete look to the window.

I remember your room re-do. So nice that you found hardwood floors. Enjoy!

Thanks! My couch/chair is from Macy's.

The organizer bins are all from Ikea and the little pouf is from Target.

Great job, Christine!

That's what we were all talking about - double rods and the window treatments skimming the floor.

Happy Holidays!

Christine, you knocked it out of the park. And, what a wonderful surprise to find hardwood under the carpeting. Your window treatments are just right.

Your LR is warm, stylish and family friendly. Would love to see the rest of your home!

Ahh, there it is. I wondered what happened.

It looks great! And what a find on that hardwood flooring! I really like the darker stain, especially with the gray and yellow colors.

Good job.

Wow- it looks so nice! I'm not a fan of contemporary style for myself, but I certainly appreciate it for others. Y'all did a fantastic job- it looks right out of a magazine! And you were so lucky to find the hardwoods! Love the way you were able to take the traditional afghan and make it perfect in your room by using those colors. And we know how hot that chevron type design is right now- it's all just perfect!

You did a great job with your living room! I love the colors you chose. I think your WTs add just the right amount of softness to the room. Hardwood floors! Nice surprise!

Very nice room and the sheers are a great idea! Your floors are terrific. The new hardwoods are nice but there is definitely something to be said about vintage wood floors!

I love the sheers...adds the softness that balances out all the straight lines in your room. I am really loving the gray/yellow combo these days.
