Well- daughter, her husband and baby have gone to visit his family for a week, and my 14 year old is going to camp for the next four days.
If I don't get anything done, it's my own fault!
I will do as much as I can on the mudroom project and see how that goes. And then I will post a picture for all of you so you can see I actually did make progress.

We made the decision to hire lawn service last week. I have turned everything over to them including the mulch/weeds. So now there are no excuses.
The panels are finally done in the LR. Slowly getting the room together. It's been a year since I started this one and still need to choose the blind/shade and a rug.

Oh, thank you for letting me know I am not alone! I guess I watch too much HGTV "instant gratification" makeovers where it is all done in a half hour (or, a couple of days, anyway).
Hi TQ, hang in there. You aren't alone. Dh and I have been remodeling an old bathroom. Been at it since mid March. Final pieces of the puzzle are coming together. Still have to put tile up around tub and reglaze old tub and add new faucets and fixtures. Soon, very soon. Ha.
I stayed home today to get the bedrooms ready for several guests that are coming this weekend. I needed to dust, vacuum, change bedding and rearrange some. Mostly I played my ukulele and sang to myself at the top of my lungs. It was really fun, but I still have to finish getting the rooms ready. Silly distracted me.
I agree with those who say D.I.Y takes a long time. It really does.
