When I took down the Christmas decor, I switched the mantel to winter decor. I used snowmen, icicles, and snowflakes and kept the greenery and lights that were already there.

We had a beautiful snowfall today. 3" so far of big fluffy flakes that fell gently and was just lovely. Since we have been in the middle of a drought, this is very welcome.

TTFN,
Candy

A close up of some of the snowmen. 3 of them are clear and light up when connected to the light string.

I love your snowmen and mantel it looks very festive. I would love to have a fireplace, but here in South Florida, there seems to be no need.

Nicely decorated. The idea implemented is simply great. The crystal snowman is looking more beautiful than the other ones. The snowfall idea is awesome.

I love your different size snowflakes, I've never thought of using them on the mantel. Hopefully I can remember this idea for next Christmas!

Thanks everybody.

I used to be so sad when I put away the Christmas decor, so now I save the snowmen and put them out for winter deocr after the holidays.

I use the snowflakes and icicles elsewhere for Chrismtas decor.

It has helped me to have some decor out after Christmas. The house just felt so bare and drab once it was all put away, so to have something out helps me transition.

I think I suffer from S*A*D as I am such a summer person and am always a bit down when summer ends, and I don't like cold and dark. I do, however, enjoy sitting by a cozy fire with a cup of cocoa or tea, LOL

Thanks again,
Candy

PS, sorry about the other winter mantel post, I was having internet issues the other night!
