Duvet cover with dust ruffle edging Sign In/Join

On our Sat. trip to dump and swap shop, I found two twin sized duvet covers (heavy white cotton) very nicely made and seemingly (no tags. . . maybe home made?) good quality.

But the odd thing is they have flour length ruffles (like a dust ruffle) DD has twin beds in one room and she can have them, other wise I might use them on grands attic beds.

Have any of you seen anything like this? A google search revealed nothing like this.

Hi Sonny, why do you think I could get 399.00 each for them? Wouldn't I have to ask (and hope to get) only about 1/2 the orig. price?

They are heavy as a tick! (p.s. glad to see you back here Sonny!)

I just wanted you to know the original price Emily.. so if yours are in good shape you could definately get Half their value - maybe more and if you WERE going to sell them, not to let someone rip you off .. ya know what I'm saying- sometimes we dont know the value of our Finds - so I was Just Sayin'...
good to see ya too..Smile

LOS, yes I've seen this type of ruffle. Actually, the one in our MB at the condo has this exact ruffle. I'll see if I can find my picture of it.

The store Horchow usually sells this type. You can look at it online.

thanks Skyler. Mine (as I found out after hanging the laundered spreads on the line) are made by Legacy and cost $465 each for the twin size (which is what these are)

Oh Sonny, I'm an old Yankee trader. I always research my finds! Much easier these days of the internet than back when I had my shop and used to have to spend hours in book stores!

DD says DGD might want one for her college room but we shall see!

when I was looking for a bedspread in white like that, the cheapest I found was like $400-$500. I ended up with a taupey/tan one from JCPenney. They only had tan and light blue. Why they didn't carry white is beyond me.

Love that style though.

although from two different(?) manufacturers Skyler's and my spreads look identical!

Boy are you right Sonny about the dorm room. Although DGD is really neat, but her roommates are not. Don't know what the rooming situation is this year just that it is in a regular dorm.

I measured her bed here and the spread will fit.

LOS, you really did get a steal! I'm always amazed at how expensive some bedding can be.

Thanks Sonny and Nance. Nance, I have added a few pillows to the bed but I'm still looking for some that are the right color white. It's crazy how different whites can be. I thought it would be so easy but apparently, whites come in all shades!!
