We are planning to use Carrara Porcelain Tile on the foyer, living, dining, hallway, kitchen/breakfast and powder bath of our home. I only see them in the bathroom when I do google. Do you think the tile looks good on rest of the house? Does it give the floor a modern look? Your opinion will be appreciated :-). Thanks .

So many other things come into play when choosing flooring. Can you post pictures of your home so we can see your wall colors and furnishings? If it's still under construction, do you you have any inspiration pictures? Are you planning to leave the floors bare or will you be using area rugs?

Carrera is a type of white marble. It is relatively soft and porous, which is why is is used less in kitchens in the U.S. Porcelain on the other hand is extremely durable and non porous. It is hard to scratch and harder to stain. Is your flooring porcelain made to look like Carrera marble? If so it is a good choice anywhere. Double check what the material actually is to be sure.

OK another SET UP for SPAM!
This is annoying! Well, that ruins it for those who answer.

Just looking on the positive side:
The people who are interested in doing same will get some benefit by reading the answers our good posters left!

It is too bad we can't SEE the POSTS:1 BEFORE opening so we don't add to the 'viewing' number. Oh well...

I DO this after finding a SPAMMER....
The bottom of the text box to the right is a small caution yellow sign (photo attached) I click on that and write in SPAM and send off. I hope that works, at least I did something about it. I try not to post on these but they got a bit clever in writing the question first then waiting then coming back with another 1 post (amount of posts is 1) for answer. They do not return for replies, just wait for the HITS on the site.

Another obvious spam trick is pulling up old, exhausted threads and reviving them. I try to avoid posting add'l responses and do use the caution box. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem as if we have any mods working the board.

WRT carrera, I love highlighting it in a bath or sometimes around a fireplace but prefer to use more durable materials in foyers, hallways, kitchens, etc.

Another small thing: your home may look a little less builder special, if you use different, more expensive materials in particular areas, instead of one material throughout. NBD but if you care about that -
