A belated Happy Canada Day! to any of you in Canada... and an early Happy Independence Day! for those of you in this country.

I suppose that holidays can get in the way of projects.

I'm continuing work on the mudroom project. My grandson's birthday is this week, too- so I'll be working on helping my daughter decorate for that.

Still working on the garden- though it has been so hot that I've not wanted to go outside much. (We had the hottest June on record here)- it seems strange to say it's "cooler" when it's in the 90s.

So that's what I'm up to. How about you?

Happy Birthday wishes for your DGSon. Are you near any of those fires?

Well DD and I finished the LR/kitchen painting last week. She found some old maps of local waterways at a new thrift store plus a number 1 of 50 signed print. She is truly decorating on a shoe-string budget. It's a lot of fun shopping with her and seeing her "finds".

We are not near the fires, but we have had the smoke here. There are all kinds of fundraisers at local businesses to help the people who were effected.

Oh... and I'd love to see what your DD does with the old maps. Pictures?
