Discontinued Wallpaper Problem Sign In/Join
posted
I have just selected a wallpaper for my powder room and started tearing off the old paper.
You can imagine my reaction to learn that the paper has been discontinued. The manufacturer only has 1 double roll. I need 2.

Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I can located a double roll of this paper.
It is Seabrook Damask with Birds WC4401 made by York and distributed by Seabrook.

I have checked Ebay and Amazon.com

Save the search on ebay so they notify you if one appears...otherwise have you tried googling the pattern number and name to see if anything pops up? I used to have a large American Wallpaper and Blinds factory nearby and they always had large amounts of rolls from recently discontinued lots or stuff returned for cheap on the floor open to public. GOOD LUCK! Smile

Finding another roll is not the only hurdle. Finding it in the same dye lot is equally important.

Oh, that's a GORGEOUS paper Lu! I see the Amazon link shows it's no longer available. Hope you were able to snatch it up (at any price.) You know I'm a total wallpaper girl! If it's a different run number, you may be able to change rolls at the corners where shadows and lighting make things look a little different anyway and manage it just fine.

No I didn't get it. Wonder why it didn't show up yesterday when I searched. Maybe I just don't know how to search. I confess I am technology challenged.

I don't have to be concerned about different dye lots unless they are radically different. Am only papering inside panels with made of picture frame molding.

THANK YOU to everyone who tried to help!!!!
And if you have any other thoughts, please let me know

Lu,

Could you use a pretty fabric and make insert panels?

Try this phone number717-852-4285. This is the York Wall Coverings Home Design Store. They may have it in the store and I think they will ship. Good Luck.

Thank you for your suggestion. I talked to Alice in Customer Service at York yesterday. She physically checked their inventory and found they only have one double roll. I need two.
She was GREAT!!! I think that Seabrook who is their distributor is also working on the problem.

Please everyone cross your fingers for me!!! Surely somewhere there will be another double roll.
