I think that the less we watch HGTV, the less we are posting on these forums. I know I got started by commenting on programming and then found my way to the other sites. Now that I don't watch HGTV anymore, I am looking at these sites less often than before.
Christy in Colorado and all my message boards friends - I'm alive and nearly well after tackling a pretty big professional project for the last 14 months (bigger than planned / anticipated, so I resemble most of you in that regard).
It is the holidays, so I am officially OFF WORK and have dropped in a few times over the last weeks. I still record / watch some HGTV, but even if I didn't I'd come here. I haven't participated in all the wonderful community opportunities here - kibbitzing at peoples Monday morning finds, or saying Happy Birthday to some of the regulars. I generally drop in and see what is near the top of the board, looks like I might be able to comprehend and formulate some feedback and then get a post in now and then. With my new smart phone, I may get even better, as I've discovered that coming up with creative ideas, or sharing things I wish I'd learned earlier or just throwing out some observations that might help someone find their way is one of the ways that i like to relax.
Christy, your timing was just right to ask. How are those gorgeous curtains of yours and how did your dining space and sons' space come together for you?
Good to see you again! My projects all went really well and it's a good thing because we are moving! I won't be jumping into anything right away - it's enough just to move!
