Just in case someone is in the market for such an item, this was the first time I've seen this type of table linen in retail stores. What am I talking about? A white or beige tablecloth (100% poly that's of course washable) that fits folding banquet type tables. There are slits to access underneath the skirt too. This is great for a buffet, party, shower, or even a crafter's table. I had to scoop one up. BTW, they come in 4' and 6' table sizes. Haven't opened my pkg. yet, but had to call attention to this new item found in their tablecloth section. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Froo Froo,

When I have the problem of a slightly too long tablecloth (and am stuck with it), I fold over/double over a section in the middle of the table to work with it. (Guess you technically end up with a triple section of fabric - doubled over but sitting on top of the remaining tablecloth.) Usually do it dead center - where the centerpiece sits and it doesn't interfere with any guests/diners.
If you really love this particular tablecloth and got a great deal, that's on option. Like I said above, you've probably done the same, before.
Blueday, you're correct...I do know that "trick", but it wouldn't work in this instance as the cloth is fitted much like a box pleat bedskirt w/ seamed straight skirt. Not only was it too long, but too wide.
My dog, the tablecloth I'm returning is 72" L X 30" W X 29" H. I believe their five foot long cloth is the same width. Do measure your table before you venture out to BB&B. The only measurement that jived for me was the height.
