Anyone have any experience with outdoor rugs? I am in a warm climate so they stay outside all year. Three years ago I bought a cheap greay one at Lowes, just to cover the chipped peeling paint on the patio. It has held up very well, but is just not pretty. I have been looking in Ballards catalogue, and HD has some pretty print ones now. Just wondering if anyone has any and how they hold up outdoors, with no roof-just exposed to the elements.

HB, I've never had one but inlaws gave us their gazebo so I'm interested in hearing about them too. The gazebo floor will still get wet somewhat. I've always wondered about them and how they hold up too so I'll bump this up.

Hi HG buds! I can definitely refer you to a fantastic outdoor rug line that I found last year. The product is fantastic, the colors and patterns outstanding and the customer service top notch. Also, the rugs are reasonably priced, durable, made from recycled plastic bottles and reversable. They don't get hot or fade easily and are washable. They're also comfortable under foot. Did I mention theyh're made in the good ol' USA? Check out Mad Mats on line!

I would love an outside rug on our patio but was always afraid of rotting the boards under it when it got wet...is that not a problem?

May,l the outdoor rug I mentioned lets rain drain thu it's woven plastic. It doesn't rot, shed or mildew either. Check out their website folks.

I think I may have one of the kind Froo Froo is mentioning. DD gave it to me. It is plastic and looks like the blue and white china I adore.

I just got it on the covered front porch the other day before the skies opened and we had all of the usual June rain in one day! (and days thereafter too) Just checked it awhile ago and it looks great. Very pretty too.

Looks like the same product, but I initially found a Mad Mats web site in Greenville, NC and ordered from them. Funny to see that a closer to my home town vender sells them too.
BTW, I have the Turkish Blue rug and it's companion runner on my deck. The colors are more vivid in person tho.
