backsplash tile going up Sign In/Join

So we hit a minor blip yesterday - stove and microhood were on schedule for delivery and they were a no show Frown

However, on the upside, the backsplash is going up. We rescheduled the appliances for later this week, and that needs to be in place for the tile guys to finish. At any rate, here is a sneak peak at the backsplash (minus grout).

Love those tiles. Did you finish the BS yet? You've managed a classic and elegant kitchen.

Did you chase down the delivery truck? Good luck with everything and TFS!

Loving it!!! Is the countertop a black granite? I can't quite tell. Our kitchen redo will be within the next year. After living through our bathroom redo, I'm dreading the kitchen, lol.

Well the stove got scr*wed up again Frown I actually cried. With any luck we'll have it installed Thursday (it is here at the house, along with the microhood). But I will stop at BB&B today to buy a pizzelle maker. If I don't, we won't have ANY Christmas cookies.

The counters are a manufactured quartz type from Samsung - a dark dark charcoal, but not black. Gorgeous in person and I just love it!

Thank you all for your kind comments - here are some more pictures of what DID get done this week Wink

Hardware - this is just something we found at HD. I needed 33 and lo and behold! They had 33!

Those glazed arabesque tiles are awesome. Their deeply incised and scrolling shapes make a white backsplash go from drab to fab. (Not to mention that killer apron front sink.)
