I happen to love the bold turquoise over the tub! The pop of color is breath-taking! If you do want to add the lighter color then use it as a highlight to texture the dark turquoise a bit, but does not need anything really.

I just noticed you had a small iron table to the right of the vanity in that same dark turquoise, love that touch!

Mamaspoon, thanks Smile. I'm glad dh is a carpenter, sure helps.

Belstone, thanks Smile I'll tell you, finding turquoise or teal spray paint is almost impossible. This was the only color I could find even close besides the car paint I found for the chandy I painted. The colors in the wt are in the same tone of blues so it doesn't look bad IRL. Thanks for your suggestion though.
As far as keeping the mirror clean, I'm serious, it really doesn't get that dirty. I wipe it down with windex once a week is all. It is very easy to clean. The mirror above it is more high maintenance as it gets splashed and it is all mirror.

MR, I sprayed the brass table with the same can of paint. I wanted to add more of that color on the other side. I also have a hand towel in the same color which I forgot to hang before I took pics.

So glad you reposted the pics VG! Your bath redo is very nice and I especially like that you have used the turquoise/teal color in various rooms of your home. I love the mirrored vanity, the little painted table, the shell art over the WC (I immediately wondered if I could make one like it!), the fabric blind, and of course your low budget mirrors over the tub - really everything! Smile

IKWYM about the PM thing - if one has ever been involved with a PM group one knows how gossipy things get. Best to not even think about what others may be saying, they don't know you and negative people are best ignored and avoided.

I've started lots of threads that had few responses but lots of views, sometimes I've wondered whether there are many people here who really are interested in home decor! Big Grin Another thing best ignored. Likely there are lots of people like me who don't spend much time on forums anymore and may quickly read but not take the time to post.

I hope you will continue to post as your work is an inspiration to many I'm sure.

I just want to say here that I was adamantly opposed to the Magna awards and as soon as I became aware of them. . . said so. Why anyone of a public forum would think that one other member of such forum had the right to judge them (and also be given tacit approval to judge others) boggles my mind. Taste, talent, education, experience, age, location etc etc do not enter into the question, either on the part of the awarder or the awardees. It is quite simply extremely inappropriate

I haven't read all the responses here nor have I looked at V.G.'s pics of her bathroom so will come back with further comment.

Lucky, thanks Smile. I have managed to add the blue/turquoise/teal to every room now. I still need to add a bit more to the diningroom though.
I was just having a insecure day I guess and you are right, a person can't focus on others, we have no control over anyone else or their opinions anyway, nor would I want to.

LOS, I know how you feel about this. I don't want to start a WWIII. I just like to think that everyone is entitled to an opinion without being told they are crazy if they do.

I'm not perfect, my home is not perfect, I don't do this for a living, I just have fun with it. I think most of us on here are like that.

I have looked at the pics and now remember the project. Well of course like others I love the vanity. I also love the color of the starburst mirrors, (my favorite is the one on the upper left) I also like the way they repeat (or the fabric repeats them) the window treatment,

I think if you did use just the picture frame molding (painted turquoise) on the front of the tub it would be not too much. VG you do excellent work and it is nice to see a whole room done, in your inimitable style!

Hi VG,

Once again, you have shown us how to be creative with re-doing things. I love the touches of "that" color you are working into place in your home.

Hope to see more of your posts too.

Emily, thanks Smile I'll probably just do the moulding and leave it cream. I just don't want it to stand out but it is very boring at this time and needs a frame.

BR, thanks Smile. "That" color all started with a painting in my livingroom and a piece of pottery. Funny how something small can move you into a different direction.
