I have a loveseat and two chairs I plan to replace with either a small scale sofa and chair or a small scale sectional. Does anyone have any advice for a mid price brand that is decent quality? I'd like to come in under $1300

I've been lokking as well. I have had the best luck with with smaller scale at Jennifer Leather
even Jc Penney has some smaller sacle things. Good luck!!! I had my sofa and love seat picked out, and the sales lady gave me wrong dimensions on width, now back to the drwing board because it will not fit..

I was looking last week and most are smaller scale now that I want a longer sofa. When I was looking about 1 1/2 years ago I had a hard time finding a smaller and now that is all I am seeing.

Haverty's and Signature Furniture had quite a few. The rest of the stores I think were FL stores.

I did notice on some that the seating now is really long because I am 5'6" and on some if I sat all the way back my feet didn't reach the floor. Eek

I highly recommend only buying upholstered furniture on sale. Most stores have huge savings then. We bought ours just after Christmas for 50% off. You can either get a real deal or get better quality than you would otherwise. There's a high mark-up on furniture so most stores offer sales periodically.

The only brands of upholstered furniture I have experience with are Flexsteel, Sklar Peppler, and La-z-Boy. We've been happy with all of those.
