I enjoy a blog, Posie Gets Cozy, and she shared pictures of the Pittock Mansion in Portland I thought some of you might like seeing. It was built in 1914 and I loved getting to peek inside. Wow!

Lovely glimpse into a bygone era! TFS I've bookmarked it in case I ever get to Portland OR again!

Mary Ruth, if you watch the youtube video they mention that the kitchen floor is actually 8,000 pieces of inlaid rubber! I had never heard of that before. Pretty amazing house.

Isn't that amazing! That means very easy on the feet and nothing breaks when dropped on it! AND I can't believe it is in such great shape!

Doncha love the pantry? And that sink with wood sideboards! Love it. Oh, and that tile is gorgeous, too. That place is my idea of period perfection and this is exactly why I prefer period architecture to contemporary...I really don't care which period, as a matter of fact, I just love historical architecture.

Thanks for the tour!
