I moved the couch and tried the end tables at each end of it and removed the coffee table. Moved recliner over by TV. I think it works.

View from dining room.

Kim, it looks good, but what about the person who sits in the recliner- they are going to have to twist their neck to watch TV.

Thanks. View from the recliner isnt bad, I have no other place to put it with couch there. It wont fit under the kitchen opening due to walkway. I usually sit in the recliner haha.

I was the one that suggested the end tables on the ends of your couch....looks good. Now if you used just one end table (the one nearest the dining room) and put your floor lamp at the other end, would you have room for your recliner where it was before? I really do like your room now.

Yes u did suggest the end tables, thanks. I thought about that but then when 2 people are sitting on the couch with drinks, only 1 would have end table and hubby and daughter will fight over that spot LOL. I used to have couch with back to DR and had 1 end table and they would fight over that spot. I actually put the floor lamp next to the recliner after I posted these pics. If only our bedroom door wasnt off the LR by the recliner, I could angle the recliner more in that corner. We do have another way to get to our bedroom, thru the laundry room and master bath, but I have blocked that door off before and didnt like it LO:. Thanks again Smile

Took May's suggestion again. I put floor lamp at end of couch and have end table/lamp at the other end of couch by dining room. Moved recliner back under the Kitchen opening with end table/lamp next to it. I like it. Walkway is good between the recliner and couch with end table there.
Thanks May Smile

Youe welcome. I always enjoy seeing the way you have your living room. We recently put our loveseat in the living room and our long couch in the family room.....so much more comfortable that way. I was afraid the colors wouldn't look good (love seat was navy leather and couch was brown cloth)but surprisingly with a change of pillows/throws/plants...it looks pretty good. I don't move furniture around much usually....just enjoy seeing people who do.
