Spring in January??? Sign In/Join

I was walking around between raindrops and discovered these blooming out by the pond! They don't usually bloom until March. Anyone else have Spring showing up already? We haven't even started winter yet.

No spring here, it's a *balmy* 6F here which is not a bad winter day in the north.

My daffodils are all safely tucked in their beds and still having their long winter nap!

Thanks for the little glimpse of spring!

It is unusually warm here in Kentucky also. Nothing blooming like your daffodils though, bus some are popping up and budding.

We had a record high of 68 here on Thursday (since 1890).

We will pay for it in the spring when tornados and hailstorms hit.

Here on the East coast in Mid-Florida, we have had the A/C on in the afternoons! 80 degrees! Weird... but so nice today, breeze and almost perfect day!
This is the time of year for us to watch for frost (mid Jan for a couple of days) for our delicate plants, so odd to have it so warm!

Here on the west coast, it is cold at 54 degrees F. and a chance of hitting a 32 degree F. low tonight. I think we are expecting 70 degree F. days next week, but today, I'm enjoying a fire in the fireplace...a rare occurrence for me.

Near 60 here in Mid-Michigan...balmy! Took down all the Christmas decor today and even planted the poor little bulbs I forgot in November...I'll be really surprised if those babies come up!

I was stripping wallpaper in the kitchen - it was great to have the kitchen door open and the cats were enjoying the back porch.

It would have been a good day to work outside, 'cept that it rained alot yesterday and overnite. Tomorrow 55....

We are in Florida now and it was at least 75 here. At home in Kentucky, my cousin sent me pictures of roses blooming in her yard. I call this the January THAW. Always a blast of warm temperatures before the Artic Freeze arrives.

SO we will miss the nice weather at home and get back in time to enjoy the frigid temperatures of February and March. UGH

Hi Bella, it's nice and warm here (reached 80 yesterday) in South Georgia too. We have some daffodils and jonquils blooming already and a bunch of these! The camellias have also been blooming and they are gorgeous. Next week our forecast calls for much cooler weather so I'm enjoying it while I can Smile
