Another Pinterest Inspired project for me. I found this heavy solid wood coffee table at a Thrift Store for $40. I snatched it up and brought it home to repurpose.

I painted this table for my granddaughter's playroom. I liked the shelf on the bottom so that we can put baskets there for storage. I painted the top with Chalkboard paint.

Fun! Fun! Fun! Hope this inspires you on repurposing things!

That is fun!!! I am a huge fan of chaulkboard paint. Do you use traditional chaulk or the chaulk markers? I've yet to try the markers but curious how well they work.

Nice.
I've never used chalkboard paint. Is it as easy to write on as a chalkboard?

Very pretty table. Is that a soft aqua color? Bet it is pretty with the rest of the nursery colors.

Another "LIKE" from me. Your granddaughter will love that. When she gets ready to start writing on the walls, she can write in the table instead! Smile

Love! You've given me a great idea....I found a tiny table on CL recently, and couldn't figure out what to do with it. I have a year old niece, and could make something like this for her room. Thank you for sharing. Smile

Thanks for sharing. You sure are creative. I am not very good at thinking of other uses for things, and am envious of the repurposing ideas of others.

Oh Paintlady, I LOVE, love, this idea! Kids do love to write with chalk so this is great. I have two yr. old twin nieces and I bet they would love this (might keep them from writhing on the walls).

Thank you.

My2gals, we use traditional chalk.

Wendek, it is easy to write on. It's important once you finish painting with the chalkboard paint that it dries well. Then you "prime" the board so to speak by taking chalk on it's side and rubbing it all over the entire chalkboard area. Then erase it. It's now ready to write on, and this prevents the writing from being embedded in the chalkboard permanently.

Annie17, the color is SW Belize which is the color of 2 walls in her playroom and the other 2 walls are SW Glad Yellow. It's a colorful and fun playroom. It's a large room that was just finished in the upstairs of my son and DIL's home.

That is just neat. Filing that one away for future grandchildren. Guess I best let my son and daughter find a spouse first. LOL
