What started out as wanting to add a simple back splash to our kitchen, turned into this. And even though the back splash isn't installed yet, I wanted to share anyway Before...This message has been edited. Last edited by: JulieE,
After....I am happy!!! We added under cabinet lighting, granite counter tops, (there is also a desk area to the right of the fridge) granite under mount sink, ORB faucet and new stainless steel appliances. And still to come... the full tumbled travertine subway tile back splash will be installed on Monday. All this plus 2 bathrooms in granite for just under $15k. Pretty happy with that! (But I guess it's a pretty expensive "back splash" lol) Next project...new wood floors!!!This message has been edited. Last edited by: JulieE,
That undercabinet lighting sure gives your kitchen a boost. Making holiday meals will have a little extra excitement for you this year with your added pretties.
Wow! Big improvement even without a backsplash. How difficult was it to install the under cabinet lighting? How did you get the electricity to them? Would love all the details if you have time. My kitchen is SO DARK.
Absolutely love it! I had to go back and see if you changed the cabinets but it was the lighting that really makes a difference. Nice job; keep posting pictures!

Tuesday~ I bought 6 GE 23" super slim linkable plug in under cabinet lights from home depot. They are $19.97 each. I am embarrassed to say that they are held up right now with packaging tape! Lol That is until my deer hunting DH returns from the woods. But I love them! They function very well for task lighting. I know they will be even more wonderful to use as accent lighting once the backsplash goes in.
I love all of your choices. We also had undercabinet lighting when we did our granite and love everything about it. It pushed us about 700.00 over budget, but every day I walk into my kitchen and am thriled with how it looks.
