I have two floral arrangements and I'm trying to decide which one looks better on my sofa table.

Please let me know, which floral arrangement looks better along with the placemat that I have it sitting on!

Pic 1 - Floral w/Beige Gold Placemat

Hi. Without seeing the rest of your room, I would say #2. I like the color in the flowers and I like the green mat best with both arrangements. Can you take a picture further away so we can see how it ties into the entire room?

Without seeing the rest of the room, I'd say the second one too. But if it were me, (which it's not) I would not use a place mat.

Ronda, did you create these arrangements or did you have them custom made?

Re. which is better, one must assess the entire space, it's scheme, it's style of decor and the area this is placed. The scale of the piece in relation to it's placement, the arrangement style and it's coloration all impact whether either works or not. Since you don't as yet have furniture in this space, it's advisable to leave the accessorizing till the end. Accessories are the room's jewelry and should relate to the furnishings and scheme. Also, I don't feel the placemat adds to either piece.

Both are nice, the 1st arrangement has some nice colors that add a bit of spark to what I can see. But, what I don't care for about it is the top of the vase - like you can see the oasis which makes it really look "artificical" vs. the 2nd arrangement the rafia bow covers the oasis and makes it look more like fresh flowers. Why choose, have them both and switch out. And the placemat isn't necessary.

I agree with Melissa about the oasis showing. I like the first vase best, but I would take the flowers out of the oasis and arrange them loosely in the vase...give it that fresh picked bouquet look! Pretty flowers!

I purchase the floral arrangement from Rag Shop when they were going out of business. The vase I purchased from another store.

Okay!
Also, I don't feel the placemat adds to either piece.
Ok, thanks for your feed back! I thought adding a color placement will give it more of a decor look. Smile

ETA - The smaller arrangement I purchase from either Home Goods or TJMax!

The floral came in a wooden piece, I took the flowers out and put into the vase. I have newspaper in the vase so the flowers can sit up high and I added the oasis that came with the floral to hide the newspaper.

Is there something I can do to hide it?

I will do that! I will need to remove the newspaper because I have the paper in the vase for height!
