Can't find the right chairs to pair with this sofa Sign In/Join

Hi everybody! I recently ordered the Chloe sofa from Macy's in Granite, and I've been struggling to find the right chairs to pair with it. You can see the sofa here:

http://www1.macys.com/shop/pro...D53%26slotId%3Drec(5)

It's going into my all-white apartment - white walls, white carpet, white everything (and no, sadly I'm not allowed to paint). I can't figure out what chairs to do with it. I'd like something that feels cohesive but not matchy-matchy, and I can't afford to spend as much on the chairs as I spent on the sofa. Plus I think the room desperately needs some color, and as it's my only living space, the chairs need to be seriously comfy. Ideas? Thanks!

I love that sofa!

I'm not sure about comfort- but I think that slipper chairs could work well (style wise) with that sofa.

If I have any other ideas (or photos to share) I'll post again.

Gorgeous sofa. If it were up to me, I'd buy one arm chair from the sofa collection, in a different color, perhaps the lovely pale aqua. Then I'd accessorize the sofa and chair with coordinating pillows or throws, for example, in gray, aqua, white and yellow. You'll have a cohesive look without being matchy-matchy.

If you to prefer to test-drive your chairs in a showroom, rather than purchase off the internet, what other furniture stores do you have nearby? Room and Board? Crate and Barrel? Ethan Allen?

Welcome. Lovely sofa and the taupe-like hue affords a vast color pairing. Draw scheme inspiration from things like an area rug, throw pillows, window coverings, art, etc.. Some fabrics should feature a degree of white to tie them into your walls and make everything look intentional. Try to find a print that echos the "granite" of the sofa a bit plus an accent or three that appeal to your eye and work in the room's lighting. Your space will need textural and pattern interest along w/ color esp. w/ all the white that will be present.

Bring color upward via window drapery, large art (even framed fabrics or papers), a colorful divider screen, plants, accessories.

Great idea, any wood or creative chair can be added for third chair if you want to express more individuality.

I like slipper chairs too because they do not compete with the nice curve on the arms of the great sofa you picked out!

Love the sofa and the chairs Bella suggested. I think I'd go with a patterned chair if nothing else but at interest and color. I do love the style of it, and it looks comfy.
