A long time ago on this board I ask if someone could give me the notes ( melody) to one of our favorite songs... Unchained Melody. Someone on this board did it for me. If you're still one the this board can you PLEASE do it again for me only this time I need the song To make you feel my Love by Garth Brooks. I can pick out some of the notes but I can't get it all. I just need the right hand. You see these two songs were my Husbands and mine favorite songs. he used to sing them to me. My sweet husband was killed in an accident 3 yrs ago, he was only 48. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Did you want the sheet music for piano for this song?

Norton has the site marked as safe and you don't have to pay to see it.

Thank you Still tryin. I can't read music, well very little . I sort of play by ear. I need someone to tell me what the notes are for the right hand. I have a big yamaha electronic piano that my husband got for me . He always want me to learn how to really play. I know where the notes are like CDEFGAB. Just need the right hand. I will look at the music and see if I can figure it out .. thank you!!!!

The orig. song "to make you feel my love" was done by Bob Dylan. Adelle also re-did that song. I didnt know Garth Brooks did it to. It's a great song.

just google it and you may find it the way you need it.

I am so very sorry for your loss, I hope you find what you are looking for.

So, if you know where C is (preferably Middle C) go left two keys down and you will start with A. This is what is called an octave....A to A is an octave. I'm referring to your white keys on your keyboard. The black keys signify sharps and flats. Sharps are to right of white keys and flats are to left of your white keys.
Looking at your sheet music you will have your notes for your right hand (treble) and your left hand (bass). Let's just start with your right hand. You will see 5 lines and 4 spaces. Each represents a note. Your line notes starting with the bottom line of your treble clef (right hand) will be e, g, b, d, f.
The space notes starting at the bottom are f,a,c,e.

Ok, rather than explain further I found a pretty simplied website to help. http://www.wikihow.com/Read-Music

I am not near my piano but I will look at the sheet music to see if I can give you the notes. Do you know what a chord is? If not, I'll just give you the keys for the melody.

I'll be back.

Lori, This may or may not help you. I'm not near a piano so it's sort of difficult for me. I'm just going by what I am hearing in my head. I'm not too familiar with this song.

These are the first two lines (treble clef only, remember right hand) from the sheet music link from Still Tryin. I hope this helps.

1st Treble Clef line (2 letters together is your chord)AF, F, A, A, F, A, E, A, C, EA, A, G, A.G, A, F, E

2nd Treble Clef line (2 or more letters together is your chord) D,D,D, ABD, D, AD, A, G, GD, G, D, DA, F, D, D, ED, C, D, F, E, D, D

Hi Lori,

Hope this helps. Here are the note names for the melody (right hand). The long dashes represent the notes that are long. If the pitches don't sound right, it could be because the melody dips below Middle C, so try the pitches in that octave. Smile

G------------AG------ABG--GDF#AB

G------------AG------BCD--------

G------------AG------ABG--GDF#AB

G------------AG------GD---------

CBGD---------AGDB---------------

F#ECA--------AG------------

There ya go! Smile I encourage you to learn to read music. It will be one of the very best gifts you have ever given yourself.

Lori, I do hear the melody. So you are just picking the notes out and not reading from sheet music. Is this correct?

ETA...okay, yes you stated in your earlier post that you played by ear. So do I, if I know the song and this one I'm not too familiar with. After playing the song on the piano I think you have picked up the melody quite well. You should pursue your dream and learn to play. You have a G*O*D given talent if you can play by ear. Your DH would be proud of you.

Hi Lori, you may have what you need in the way of piano notes by now. If not I'll be glad to read the sheet music and give you the notes. It would be a different key but I'll be glad to do it. Just let me know. Feel free to PM me.
