Here it is in my family room. Maxine (Drunk Kitty) who you remember I lost a few months ago, checking it out. She loved laying here.

That is a beautiful cage! Looks so 'up in the clouds' with those balloon curtains behind them and the white birds! A corner to dream in! Sorry about the kitty!

LOVE the beautiful birdcage. I love birds and use them in my own home, so I am especially fond of this.

I also have a very good weekend find, this one from Craigslist. We have an extra room (I call it my daybed room) which we have been trying to set up as our first grandchild's room away from home when he arrives in September. Soooo, for months I've been looking for a small upholstered swivel rocker for that room without success. Most of the upholstered rockers are HUGE these days. Anyway, I was browsing Craigslist again this weekend and saw this rocking chair an ottoman which turned out to be perfect. It was in a formal living room which was never used and from a non-smoking - no pets home. Even better, I paid $40 for both pieces and only had to drive 15 miles to pick it up. Score!!

Thanks Lady50, I love using the birds too.

Wonderful score on your new chair and it's nice that it's not so large. It looks like it was made for that room and what a sweet room it is! Congratulations on your soon to be grand baby Smile

I have to say how much I miss seeing these pictures! But I'm stopping in briefly to show a bargain fabric win from eBay. Pics are from the auction, but it just arrived and is even cuter in person, and a nice home dec weight. 5 yards of 54" wide vintage Bloomcraft fabric for $7.99.
I like all dog breeds - they don't have to be Brittanys. Mario Buatta would love this fabric.

Thanks Catie! Sorta love it too.

BDM,thank you for sharing even if you can't see the other pics. We LOVE seeing yours! I adore that fabric and that price is unreal. The dogs amongst the pink is awesome. Where do you plan to use it? Lucky girl, it's beautiful.

Lady 50, I forgot to ask if you bought the chair to match the drapes or you bought the drapes after the chair? The colors look like they match so well.

I thought I had left a comment here about your fabric, oh well senior moment!

The pattern of the fabric almost is like needlework, I like that quality to it. The dogs are cute!
Bella,
So glad you got your fabric! It has a nice cooled warm tone to it!

Skyler, I actually bought the linen curtains several months ago at West Elm in Dallas. I just happened upon a sale there. They were originally priced at $50 per panel, but I got all four for $50. I honestly got very lucky on the chair matching the drapes. The daybed quilt was also another totally unrelated purchase. It's probably best to have a decorating plan in place before you start buying, but deep discount shopping doesn't always allow for that. I take photos of my rooms on my iphone when I shop. That helps alot.

I don't have a picture (you'll thank me) but, I gave birth to my very first (and hopefully, last) kidney stone! After my CT scan, they announced the results like this..."you're now the proud parent of 4 kids and a kidney stone". Funny.

Anyhoo, after 60 or so hours, I caught the little bugger and now I wait to find out what caused it so I can avoid another.

I realize this isn't your typical "find" but, I wanted to share with my cyber friends. Aincha glad? LOL

We found some driftwood that we watched wash in with the tide from way out in the water. The log was hollow and when my husband pulled it on shore an long piece broke off and we brought it home... Now what should we do with it? Wink

Jovtfam4 - I have no ideas on what to do with your driftwood, but I hope you'll share when you figure it out.

Belstone - Ironic find considering your user name. I hope you continue to heal quickly.

Christie - Great fabric and I'm glad you were able to get as much as you wanted.

BDM - Darling dog fabric...another chair covering?

Lady50 - You've had some extraordinary luck with your bargain shopping. The chair looks perfect in the room.

Skyler - Love that birdcage. I've never seen one like it.

Hope everyone is having a safe and joyous Independence Day!

hard to know what to do with driftwood since we do not know what size, shape or what it looks like, but could become a post for something, or a garden edge...

I'll take a picture of it. It's sculptural, so I might just hang it on the wall.

Have you checked this piece for mites, or any fungus or living matter before bringing indoors? Even picking up shells and not cleaning them can cause a problem.
