Message Boards

I quit logging off from the board as I had so much trouble logging back in, but I used to be able to go to the top of my reply and click on an emoticon to go with my message.

Now, when I do that nothing happens! The emoticons open, but when I click on one, it doesn't appear in my message. : (

I have tried to right click and copy, but it won't let me paste. Then I tried to right click and use the copy option, but that just pasted the words for the emoticon, not the actual emoticon.

Am I to be forever "emoticon-less" or does anyone have any words of wisdom for me?

I realize this is not much of a problem in the grand scheme of things, but the emoticons do convey more feeling than just the colon/parentheses option.

They aren't working for anyone else either. We are manually typing the codes for them. Here is the list.

When you type the words you have to use the colon symbol if it is included on the code to the left of the emoticon. If you don't type it exactly as it appears to the left of the emoticon list it won't work. If you type it correctly you won't see the emoticon until your post appears. You will only see the typed code. FYI you don't need to use commas in before or after the code but you do need to include a space.

Not only does HGTV not seem to care that we miss the old shows that actually were about decorating instead of the constant stream of real estate shows that I don't care to watch, , but they have really messed up the message boards IMHO!

I really missed seeing the Christmas decorating shows they used to air!
