I need some decorating HELP! I have these built in shelves and have no clue what to put in them.. right now I just have odds and ends since Im just finishing painting.. can someone help me locate things to put here on the affordable side.. my walls are SW Whole Wheat.. traditional-contemporary.. colors are mainly creme,browns, greens, reds.. thanks for your help !!

Maybe four colorful platters, one for each shelf?

If you use items such as the photos, I'd try setting them so they come 'straight out' rather than following the angles of the sides of the shelves. I'd be interested to see how that looks.

What is space to the left? Unless it is the living room, these pieces are a little too "formal" for kitchen area. I think a plant that overhangs the shelves would soften the look of this niche. Also some much larger pieces like maybe a very nice casserole dish or platter would look good here.
