Emily! Hoping you HAD a wonderful day full of good food, good fun and good friends. We don't always like to celebrate as we get up there, but forget the number and celebrate good health and a good life.
Best, heartfelt wishes from a cyber friend.((HUGS))This message has been edited. Last edited by: Belstone,

Thank you all so much for your thoughtful and very much appreciated best wishes.
Despite the record breaking rain I did have a very nice b.d. phone calls from sisters and DD & DGS and a lovely dinner at a nice (sort of special) nearby restaurant. DH gave me a very nice cash gift with instructions to spend it frivolously (but I can't do that) he also gave me the change left over from what he had allocated for dinner!
My treat to myself was to work on the genealogy. It is positively addictive! And I am learning so much history. . . primarily that this country has always served as a refuge for those persecuted in other countries (usually for re li gious reasons!)
One ancestor bought a house at the corner of Broadway and Wall street in about 1650! DSIL says he wishes he had held on to it as his commute to work would be so much shorter!
Thank you all again. You reaffirm what I love about this site. The friendliness and the human kindness of the members!
