Hey everyone! I have not been on this site for over a year....I don't believe anyone noticed.
Anyway, I am alive and well. Probably better than well. I still have my house in Tulsa, but stay a lot in South Carolina, in Myrtle Beach because I just invested in a yacht! I have the best weekends in the world on that thing! It is beautiful and I have decorated my stateroom in Turquoise and off white. The pillows have fish and coral in pastel colors that include the turquoise. I bought this absolutely beautiful lamp at a coastal shop that looks like clam shells and the frosted glass is white with some turquoise in it. It has a pewter base that is in the shape of coral. It is absolutely the cutest thing. I will try to post pictures when I can get to my camera.
Anyway, just wanted to share because I have not been on for so long.
I hope everyone is as happy as I am! Best wishes to all of you!

Welcome back! Sounds like you're living a dream! I love the water and that area of SC is so beautiful. Talk about the yin and yang of living...Oklahoma to Myrtle Beach, SC!

Luvmyhouse, it's good to hear from you. You will need to change your name to luvmylife. :-) You have the best of all worlds. I visit Myrtle Beach about every six weeks. I know you love it there. So much to do and so many great places to eat fantastic seafood. I'd love to know where you got the lamp because I'd like to pay the shop a visit when I return there in a few weeks. I love to make my rounds shopping while there. Do you ever go to Murrell's Inlet to eat? If not, I highly recommend it. Several good places there, but the Hot Fish Club is one of our favorites on the marsh...for food and view. The best place to eat in the Inlet though IMO is Southern Bliss. It isn't on the marsh but on the opposite side of the highway. It's a culinary delight to eat there.

I'm new since you stopped posting, but it's nice to meet you and hear of your adventures. I love being on the water, so I know you must love your boat. It must be so different from living in Oklahoma.

I visited my daughter in NC in April and we drove to Mytle Beach one day and laid out on the beach there. It is so incredible there! We were only there for a few hours since it was a 2 1/2 drive back to NC but I loved SC and would love to go back there. I can't wait to see pictures of your yacht and that incredible lamp! I do remember your name as I am a long-time lurker on here. Glad to see you back!

Skyler and My Dog, I tried to post early this morning to respond to your kind remarks. I lost my reading glasses and was on an elevator and this man asked how my day was going and I told him good, but I had to go out of the hospital and buy some reading glasses and he said here take mine! Can you believe that? I must be living a charmed life...you bet!

Mary Ruth, Actually I get free WiFi at the marina where we have our boat slip. I love that marina and the people there....very nice like having a bunch of loveing neighbors.

Graciepg and AKsunny99, thank you for your notes of support!
Mama Spoon, No Aircraft...just US Airways, but I get there and back with ease and it is such a wonder at this late stage of my life.

Paintlady, I will have to try those eating places! We are keeping the yacht at Barefoot Landing so we tend to stay close to there when we go out to eat. Also the place I bought the lamp was Casual Furniture World in North Myrtle Beach.

Jovfam4, Pictures will be posted when I get my camera, it is a great adventure.

Beau's Rose: I have a captain, so yes we have taken small trips, but are talking about some lengthy trips that would take days. It will definitely take some planning. We met people returning from Cuba, etc when they would dock for the night in the marina....sounds so exotic. Not sure where we will go, but we are definitely going somewhere cool!

BTW, I need to change my name to luvmyyacht!

Thanks for the name luvmyhouse. I'll have to check it out. I'm familiar with Barefoot Landing. A really cool place! I know you all have so much fun when you are there. I'm in the South end of the strand. I've been going there with dh for over 30 yrs. His mom lives there for now. She's lived there for about 35 yrs. She's approaching 90 yrs. old and thinking of relocating closer to us. We will always go there because it's a second home to us. Plan on spending the 4th of July there watching fireworks over the marsh in Murrell's Inlet.

Hi and welcome back Luvmyhouse! A yacht sounds like a fun endeavor. DH has a friend who captains large boats and yachts for hire, he has told us of some fun and interesting journeys.

Sounds like you are living the good life! Keep us posted on your adventures.

Paintlady,
We will be at our Marina for the 4th of July. They say the fireworks are fantastic.

I really appreciate the kind welcome back messages I have received from so many of you.
Thank you all so much! Life is taking me in a very unexpected direction and I hope to share real soon....and yes decorating a new home is probably part of that journey. I am going to need a lot of help there!

Sounds great!

Have not been to MB in many years. Guess before they tore the Pavilion down. My sister used to go to a bar that the name escapes me now, but the group Alabama was the house band way back then.

When first went to Barefoot Landing, it was little cottages among the trees. Loved feeding the turtles.

One of our favorite places to eat at Murrels Inlet no longer exists.

We used to camp near the AF base when the boys were little. Have also stayed in a small house in North Myrtle Beach. One time, youngest played with a boy from Canada that only spoke French. His parents could speak English to help them out when needed. So funny to see them looking at each other's comic books.

MB was our boys favorite vacation destination.

Enjoy the 4th there! Check in as often as you can. I do remember you posting before. Welcome back.

Hello and welcome back Luvmyhouse.I do remember you.I am a Carolina girl, born and raised here.I use to go to Myrtle Beach and N.Myrtle,Cherry Grove and Pawleys Island every summer. It is so grown up and crowded. It is still beautiful and Nothing finer than Carolina.

My DH from NC beaches. We go to Kure beach,Oak Island and Holdens beaches now.Low key and laided back from the fast lane.Just a hours drive to N.Myrtle beach.A few years ago we went with DH friend to Beufort,NC.Prounced..(Bo-ford),not like Beaufort SC.Been there too. This Beaufort NC,is Beautiful and charming for boats&yachts. You can dock your yacht no matter how big or small. The boat slips are right up on the board walk in Historical downtown. These yauchts, boats docked and,the people would let you come aboard and take a tour. The boardwalk is huge and the old houses are resturants and shops now.It was so wonderful and views are stunning. We ate on a 2nd story level old house overlooking all these boats and yachts.Watching the people walking and boats docking in and the sunset...Ooohhh,I want to go back for a week.Search this and maybe you can have a trip there on your yacht.

Do you have your own Captain (DH)?
Whoo Hooo, what an adventure and dream come true.
