Is it too much to have roof, shutters, and door the same color? What color door or shutters would look good with cream(looks pale yellow) siding and dark red, but not really maroon, metal roof? I've thought about red, black,or dark blue for door. I do not want green. TIA for any ideas.

i'd have to wonder how a red door w/ a burgundy roof looks??? It'll probably depend on the shade of red. I love red doors!!

I like the idea of black shutters. Do you have a picture of the house to post?

I have before pictures but I haven't been able to post them and have tried about five times. The board either says the picture is too big or after I thought it was smaller it said the board didn't understand what I was trying to do or something like that. The red of the roof and the door would be the same color if I paint the door red.

I vote for Charcoal grey for both door and shutters

why not do a mock up first? either painted paper, or a fabric...

i'd alwys wanted a red door and we tried it (used a sheet) and it looked awful...so ended up with what our trim is, white...dressd it with a kick plate and nicer door handle, and knocker...
