There are so many and I don't know how to enjoy them. I would love to see what you do with yours.

We have a stained glasscontainer(with glass pointsetta on the front)that holds our cards. We get over 100 cards so I wouldn't want the visual clutter of stringing them around individually. I can reach in and look anytime I want. My friend has a beautiful basket with her cards in it-she has a festive ribbon on hers.

Indeed, there's lots of ways to display holiday cards. I currently have mine stuck in a rectangular pc. or ironwork that's on my kitchen wall. Here's more ideas:
in a basket (as mamaspoon suggested) on an upholstered message board w/ criss cross ribbon on a shutter under a glass topped table suspended via ribbon streamers (example follows) on a wreath or tree in a holiday sleigh sticking out of holiday stockings create a decorative collage of cards and frame it/them as wall art turn portions of them into gift tags or tree ornaments clipped around a lamp shade inside a decorative box or chest (left open) standing inside an accessorized curio, secretary desk or china cabinet punch holes, add ribbon and suspend from bannister, mantel or branch
Decorative card holders are readily found on the Net. BTW, I have a hanging tree shaped wire card holder. Here's some found on a quick search:
I have a double-sided wreath hanger, that hangs a wreath on the outside of the door and displays cards on the inside...sorry, I have no idea where I got it...(I also used to do the ribbons.)This message has been edited. Last edited by: Nitalynn,

I will probably sound like a Scrooge , but I no longer display them because so many are now photo cards.
I used to love seeing the beautiful cards with lovely verses but they are slowly disappearing. It used to be that folks would include a pic inside the card ( maybe a graduation, wedding, school photo, etc.)
I am surprised when someone sends out a photo card of themselves! I cannot imagine why anyone would want a pic of DH and me !
This is just my opinion.

Thanks for all the lovely suggestions. I found a very pretty apothecary jar for most of the cards and I hung some of the more important ones on ribbons on a door. I love to display and enjoy them.
Grapefruit, I really do love receiving photos of other people each year, and most especially if they include their children or grandchildren, but it would have to be really special looking for one of just DH and myself. Guess we are thinking alike. Lol.

Awww, Mary Ruth. How nice to hear from you. I know.... I haven't been on here in ages. There is just never enough time.
I work three days a week now and drive 60 miles each way, in major traffic. I hope you are well and hope to catch up soon.
Merry Christmas to you as well, and health and happiness in the New Year.

I put mine in a little tray in my kitchen, or in a small dish on an end table in the family room.
Honestly though, I get few cards these days. I stopped sending them about 15 or so years ago. It got to be too much stress, and I keep in touch with my loved ones in other ways. (just sayin')

One year for a Christmas home tour I "fashioned" a wire tomato cage in to the shape of a tree, spray painted it green and used mini clothes pins to pin cards on the tree. If I remember right I set the cage in a small bucket also spray painted - a shiny raspberry color.
