I decorate the outside of my house on a nice weekend in Nov. so I can turn on the lights when the guests leave Thanksgiving night.

I have a few more pictures to follow:
Merry Christmas,

The front porch window peeper that I found at a TS a few yrs ago and the Santa Claus Lane sign that I just got a GdWl for less than $3. I also just got the 3 light up presents on the bench at ARC thrift store for $2,49.

the other side of the front porch:

The greenery around the base of the decor is real from trimming my shrubbery.

The main part of the house front.

I decorated the large wreath in the main upstairs window when we bought the house 11 yrs ago.

I climb all over the roof hanging the upstairs decor and use a tall ladder to put up the gutter lights which are actually multi-colored LED lights, but the color doesn't show up well in the photo.
DH actually got some of the decorations down out of the garage rafters and plugged in some extension cords this year! Progress!!!

Merry Christmas,
Candy

Beautiful Christmas Decorations. I'm surprised it's not snowing there. I thought it always snowed in Colorado in the wintertime Smile

Thanks everyone.

GP, we have had a horrible drought this year.
But, we are supposed to get 2 to 4 inches of snow tomorrow night and into Christmas morning. According to the news, it has only snowed in Denver on Christmas day 13 out of 136 yrs, or something like that, LOL
The mountains get snow, but it can be in the 50's or even 60's in town. So, we could play golf in the city and then drive to the mountains and ski the next day! Even when we get snow, it usually melts within a few days.

Happy Christmas Eve,
Candy

Awesome, Candy. Just the right amount of Christmas lights and decor to make a beautiful statement.

Let's see, you live in CO; I'm in TX. That's not too far for you to travel to design and install my home for the holidays. I could make you an offer you couldn't refuse. Smile

Candy,

It all looks fun and festive for the holidays. Your thrift finds are always delightful additions. You are a brave one to go climbing up on the roof top! Just like Santa!

Your house will surely brighten the little ones on their light tours tonight.

Enjoy your holidays!

Thanks everybody.

It turns out we actually won 1st place in our neighborhood lighting display this year. It was movie tickets to a neighborhood theater. Maybe we will actually see more than 1 movie in 2013! That would be twice as many as we saw this year, lol.

A couple of years ago, our doorbell rang and when we answered it was a very sweet family that told us they would all get into the family car and drive through neighborhoods and choose the house they liked best. That year they chose our house and gave us a plate of Christmas cookies with a homemade card stating we were their prize winning choice that year! I thought it was so sweet and what a fun evening for the their family making Christmas memories.

Happy New Year,
Candy

Your holiday home is so beautiful! I can see why your home was voted the best. What a nice surprise it must have been to have that family stop and let you know that you were their favorites!

Christmas Candy, your house looks beautiful and congratulations to you on winning first prize!

Here is our exterior decoration on Christmas day! We were so excited to have a white Christmas! It snowed pretty good nearly all day. The front of our house...
