Checked out the interiors of houses for sale in your area? Yesterday I was on Zillow and decided to see how many houses in my town were on the market. There are 89 which is about 1% of the houses in our town.

I scrolled through all of them and checked out a fair number of the interior pictures of some of them.

The most expensive house is 5.something M and belongs to a woman who is a decorator (except I don't think she really works at it but she is often in House Beautiful) Actually I think this is a greatly reduced price from what I remember it being before.

Least expensive is about 150K for a condo.

Our city has reasonable housing prices but I can't say I go online to check the housing market out. I will occasionally look up a price if one near to me is for sale.

I do that too! Not just Zillow, but Houzz also. Ocassionally, I also visit open houses of newly built homes. I'm not moving, but I love looking at the decor.

I do it all the time. I just type in the name of a local realtor and MLS. When it brings up the web site, i type in the zip code of the neighborhood I want to examine and then go for the most expensive houses. There are maybe 4 zip codes in my town that I monitor on a hap hazard basis.

No, not personally, though I am curious about styles of decor and such. I do have a good friend who's an agent who provides pics and stats of homes on the market in our small neighborhood and surrounding area if I inquire. It's a good way to gauge what's going on with my neighbors on the move.

A long abandoned home on a side street that leads to our cul de sac has been finallly undergoing a remodel. A neighborhood realtor told us it went for a bit more than the land it sits on since it was in such poor shape. An Amish crew revealed some beautiful stonework on the facade buried under stucco. It's neat to see the slow, but steady transformation of the home and it's surrounding landscape. I hope to see the inside before it's sold upon completion. Sounds like it was totally gutted and roof, windows, etc. were changed too. It could be a FLIP and it's refreshing to see such a formerly fine two story farmhouse style home rejuvenated. From eyesore to beauty. Love those!

Yep, I look at any house in my county that is an acreage. I also look at the higher priced homes to see what they look like inside.

Sure, I've looked online at houses in my area, generally those in a similar price range to mine to see what features they have. I love looking at real estate. Checking out the competition for the day I may list! LOL

I also look at other areas I've thought of moving to. A lot of the time it only shows me what I don't want. Absolutely amazing the lack of staging sometimes. I also love looking at RE sites in other countries, especially in Europe, to see interesting places.

We did that when we lived in New Orleans. If a new subdivision was being built, especially of high end homes, we loved to go take a look-see. Just to get ideas and see how the new homes were built. New Building techniques as well as designers would show their wares and talents. I especially liked going to the big Home Shows like at the Superdome.
