Last night I went to Hobby Lobby and bought the rooster. He's painted in yellow, teal, redish color and cream.I adore him & he is my inspiration.I am terrfied of chickens & roosters in real life.LOL

I have only had the wine holder,3 candle holder and the platter up on top of my cabinets.I got the decorating bug today.LOL.I went searching in my decor closet, got out my spray paints and greenry, vase, basket, word thingy & played around.

Tell me what you think?DO I need to add or take way anything?

On the end where rooster is,is a window then other cabinets.I've had this metal hanging outside my front door.I wanted to bring it in.Got out some dishes I dont use much. And dug out some more old candles, pitchers and greenry.I had to put my gourd up there, until I can get more and paint them to look like chickens.Wink
Any ideas?

Hobby Lobby is a good place to get inspiration, isn't it? Looks like you had fun putting together a whole new cabinet top vignette.

I had so much FUN!

Isn't nice to have a FRESH look for your house?

A1SB,Martha,Gracie,Wanda,MaryRuth and Cara,

THANK YOU all so very much for your nice comments.

I tweaked the rolling pin.Put it at other end & added 2 aqua filgree vases.I sprayed painted several items, and again yesterday.SmileI am thinking of adding potato masher & old timey mixer in that basket.Maybe even a grater I've had & dont use.

I can not go in HL much.I want so much and get overwhelmed with other ideas.I can go in there & come out with nothing.LOL.I get a totally different idea & decide to wait.At least I only spent 21.00 on the rooster.1/2 off sale, yeah me.LOL

I have all kinds of decor to shop from in my closet.Sometimes I only need 1-2 items to change my look. Then I will go to thrift stores 1st,then Ross'.I am wanting some pillow cover at HL I saw.Easy cheap way to change out the tired pillows. They started at 3.99 -7.99.Not bad.If I had a sewing machine I could make some.I can do a straight line I think.LOL

It looks really good Jackie. I know some people don't like things on top of their cabinets, but I do and I have a lot. Yours looks very well put together. It may be time for a change for me. Thanks!

This is from a couple of years ago (in the fall), but it hasn't changed much, unless you add the dust Smile

Hi Jackie,

Love that bright and colorful rooster. He sure rules the roost (or cabinets). Glad you are having fun shopping your house too. Always fun to play and move.
