this month lets share photo displays--anything from wall galleries, scrapbook pages, tabletop galleries, collages, etc. I am hoping for some inspiration for family photos on wall above day bed in office/guest room --

Here is my stairway gallery

That is such a nice collection of agility photos! You work hard on that scrapbook-collage collection, pretty setting.

It is so nice to have a collection of your family right there on your stair wall to view!

My husband's mother has a 'Wall of Aussies' she calls it. She is from Australia, and she is the only one from her family that is in the US. As she has aged (she is 87 now) she says more and more of them are gone now, and her whole life from Australia is on that wall. Powerful message it gives, and unusual strength it gives to us to have a re-affirmation of who we are. Carries us through hard times and good. Family ties are so important!

about your agility wall: Reminds me of a quote I recently read:

Hi Homebody 4. You may inspire me to finally do something I have planned on doing and that is photographing each piece of art (painting/print/photograph) we have hanging.

Anyway this hall way is just DH's paintings.

Our computer room is tiny. We each have bulletin boards on either side (can touch them both at same time) Over DH's side I have an even larger BB that has pages from mags, photos, art work etc. etc.

On the other side I have framed black and white photos. . . just evolved that way!

HB, nice stairway collage. I did one on my bros stairway but don't have a pic of it.

MR wall of aussies, lol.

LOS, never realized how huge that lady painting is.

Over my bed at this moment. I still love this collage but would also love to have a huge painting there. This is still very cottagy which I'm getting away from. STill love it but need a change.

Love the agility photos! We enrolled in agility for fun classes this spring. My little mix did GREAT but is now down for the count with unrelated injuries Frown Hoping she can get back into it as we really enjoy it!

I really enjoyed viewing my nightstand in my Virginia house, you could view into the room from the central hallway so I dressed it up at the time we staged the house for sale.

LOS,
Love all your paintings and the 'lady'!

VG,
I admire the way you arrange things on your walls and put together displays.

This pic of your work is still in my inspirational wall hanging file!

I agree Mary Ruth, I had never seen that hanging rack display but boy is that great! Nitalynn has something sort of similar in her hallway.

MR I love that display and remember it because I too love clocks (although don't have that many small ones!)

VG that bed display is very charming. Makes me think of Victoria magazine.

Homebody, I am devoting a drawer to family memorabilia but I like the way you have created a wall grouping from that. Might have to borrow that idea!

LOS... Some time ago you gave me your family address in South Williamsport. I intended to look for the home and take a picture. If you want me to do that , please give me the address again.

I will try to get it done the next time I go there!

Oh Boy Grapefruit this could not have come at a more fortuitous time! One of my nieces is doing our family genealogy.

The address is on Whitford avenue. I'll come back with street #. They lived there I imagine till the late 1920's or so. Don't know if any of the children stayed there after my grandmother died or not. Thank you so much!

There name was Gilson in case current owners know anything about them!

MR, loved your arrangement, loved your entire house VA house. I still have that arrangement in the basement family room. Doing arrangements such as these is one of my favorite things to do.

LOS, your husband is so talented. That is one talent I'd love to have.

I guess that I cannot send a PM to LOS. I just came from our local genealogy library! I volunteer there every Wednesday.

I know the lady who is the head of the Williamsport society, too. Let me know if I can help!

This is a photo of the stair wall in my sister's home. She filled the wall with family photos she collected over time.

Thank you all for such nice comments about my sister's photo gallery. She has great style and it is well suited to her current home. That's why I take pictures of her house and decor. LOL I will be sure to share your comments with her. I know she will appreciate your kind words.

It is so much fun to see everyone's photo displays! So many different and good ideas.

I am adding one in the category of tabletop gallery. This is in my bedroom. My husband never cares if I make decorative changes to our home, but he has asked me to never switch out this group of photos of us with our children as he feels very tender about them.

As you can see I have blurred out our faces as my kids/husband don't appreciate it when I step over their privacy line when posting. Looks kind of weird to be faceless doesn't it!

I missed your last post. Nice display, love the prints on the wall too! That lamp just says 'classy'! Very nice display of your children with similar frames.

Side note:
Freaked me out a bit because when I had BRVO a couple of years ago, that is how I saw out of my right eye! If I looked at someone in the face, that is what I saw with the obstruction in the center of people's faces, very un-nerving! If I only looked with my left eye all was OK. The spot moved and faded after treatments and now I can see fine. Those photos reminded me of that time!!!

Thanks for the comment Mary Ruth. I am so glad your BRVO got better! It WOULD be freaky to see that way. It was actually a little freaky to blur the faces, it made me feel kind of weird to blank out those sweet little faces. I was thinking about monuments etc being defaced historically when one ruler wanted to wipe out the memory of a previous ruler.
