I noticed on the last Design Star I watched many of the walls were painted very dark colors. Then I got my BH&G yesterday and I saw more of these dark blue walls. I do not care for these dark walls at all! I hope this is a trend that passes quickly. Anyone else?

agreed! i do not prefer the burgundy, forest green or other dark colors like that. i think they've been around for a while tho. I'll just ride this trend out and stick with the classic light colors. funny thing tho, i think i could live with dark brown if i had to. what is up with that?

I don't like light colored walls. I prefer saturated colors, dark tones and muted bold colors. Mustard gold, copper, dark olive, rasberry, basketball orange, barney purple, schoolbus yellow, lime green...
Those are the colors that are currently in my house. (Well, the copper isn't there yet, but it should be in a week or so.) |

I like dark rooms and hope people will quit following trends and instead, do what they like.

Funny because about 10 years ago I did have many dark rooms in my home. Maybe I got tired of it and I am in a lighter phase now.
