Oh Jovfam4, I would love to "grand" those two little cherubs! I had put the washing floor pic on the desktop for DH to see. I do agree about the too many toys. My grandkids have what I consider a very privileged life besides possessions; they have lots of one on one from their parents, a stay at home Mom, exclusive use of a horse (DD & DGD) all kinds of lessons and vacations but neither are the least bit spoiled, they are both excellent students and I have never yet not heard them say thank you to a waiter taking their order (i.e.) The "things" clog up you house and life but don't in them selves spoil kids unless you indulge them by buying everything they ask for which isn't done in our family. Also I would never override a parents authority in any way with the kids. My dad's parents were dead before I was born and my Mom's parents had too many other grandchildren for us to be important to them so this role is really important to me. . . but then DH & I basically love all kids!
