Has anyone reupholstered a bench with arms and piping? (wood legs) don't know where to start. sites tell me to take off "now fabric" and make a pattern. I am thinking about making a "slip cover" but may look as such. any advice?? sigh!!! and THANKS if you can help

could you post a pic of your bench? that would help with replies.

I don't think you need a pattern. Piping is not difficult.

IF your bench fabric is clean, and sturdy and still has all seams intact, then you could slip cover it knowing what is underneath is clean, smells good, is comfortable and sturdy enough to stay together (not having rips that could grow worse and fall apart).

Too bad about not being able to post a photo. If you have a Facebook page you could post it there or if you have a photo storage site online a link can be sent of that photo, just suggestions to help.
