Advice on a set of 2 pieces of art Sign In/Join

I just picked up these two pieces, though I'm still undecided on them. However, my questions are:

http://imgur.com/YYAOz

1. generally, do long pieces of art like this look better on walls with high ceilings or low ceilings (walls that are taller or shorter)?

2. I wasn't sure if the two pieces go better together or if 1 by itself would look better. How do you generally decide if two pieces like this work better together or alone?

Thanks.

Those will look more dramatic as a pair. I think one wouldn't be as interesting. Ceiling height has less to do with whether they work than how high or low you hang them. Are they going to be displayed alone or above furniture?

They are adorable!

I don't think ceiling height makes any difference.

While they were probably meant to be a pair, I see no reason why they can't be separated. In fact, I think one would be great for a bathroom, unless, of course, you have a lot of wall space in your bathroom in which case they could be hung as a pair.

If you do separate them, hang them each on a narrow wall as opposed to over a sofa.

I definitely wouldn't break up the pair.

If you are thinking about hanging them where you have them now, I would place the tops of the artwork even with the tops of those columns, height depending of course if you have anything underneath them like a console.

Ceiling height has no relevance here. What matters is whether the wall has enough space to accomodate both the art works.
