Is it safe to use windex on my new quartz countertops to clean them?
I then use the Weiman polish that was recommended here to shine them and it looks great.
I want to be sure I am not doing something wrong by using windex for cleaning.
Thanks so much.

If your countertop has a polished surface, then you are doing exactly what Silestone recommends. If, however, you have a leather finish, as I do, then skip the Windex and just use the Wieman cleaner.

Leave it to you SMS. You always come through.
Thanks a bunch.
(I cannot use the smilies -- they don't work, so please accept my smiling face anyway)

Wish someone could tell me why they won't work for me.

I can't use them either. I see other posts have them. I wonder what we did to offend....

I can't use the icons either, so I just type the characters and it comes through. For a smiley like this Smile I type a colon and a closing parenthesis with no space between.

We have relatively new granite countertops and were told by the installer NOT to use any product which contains vinegar or citrus, as they can etch the surface. We use 409 stone and granite cleaner in a spray bottle.

granite countertops are easy to clean and advised by experts just to use water and soap.
