Hi everyone,
when I knew I was getting a new puppy a bit over 2 years ago I made a big decorating push in the house before she arrived so that I'd be free to devote more time to her training. I haven't really stopped by the board for quite a long time because my concentration has been prepping Jovi for agility trials, not decorating. Then the dishwasher died.

I can't fault the dishwasher, it was 17 1/2 years old. Problem is that I always said that when the dishwasher died I wanted to replace the floor. Of course, if I'm going to go that far then I might as well add granite countertops.

Local agility trials start next weekend and my training schedule has been tossed out the window for the last couple of weeks. Of course, when I see the end result, I really can't complain!

A few befores and a few afters.

Thanks! Now if I could just figure out why Jovi's photo is so huge!!!

ETA: Aha, that's better. Still a bit large but much better than it was.

Love the contrast of granite and cabinets. Really like your faucet.

The changes added a lot of distinction to your kitchen. There have been problems with posting since the latest board update. Large avatars are only one result. Glad you took time to show us what you've been up to. Any new videos of Jovi to share?

Very nice! I like the white cabinets with the black countertop. Your leashes are so organized too!

Thank you all, I really am thrilled with the changes! I'm also still a bit flabergasted that this all started because the dishwasher died.

Graciepj, no new agility video to show. Jovi's last trial was back in May. Since she was so young I elected not to travel with her during the summer. (It's too hot in Atlanta for agility in the summer so, no local trials.) Next weekend starts our local trial season so perhaps after then I'll have new video.

The new black granite looks great. I love black for it's contrast and drama. The floors are nice, love the earthtones.

The black granite countertops and new darker flooring make a huge difference! Funny how one necessary change morphs into several - I think it's called the domino effect!

Welcome back. I especially love the new floor and you can't go wrong w/ black and white. I'm a fan of contrast too. I'm so happy your dishwasher kicked. Smile

It looks great Nancy. And it's nice to see you back. I've missed "seeing" you on the boards.

And I can't believe Jovi's two years old already!!!

Where does the time go??

Thanks everyone! I'm really happy with the changes. Years ago I would play with the room Sherwin Williams vizualizer and what I've done in real life is pretty much what I played with online.

Wanda, I know! It's hard for me to think of her as being over 2 now. Seems like such a short time ago she was a tiny pup!

Beautiful kitchen! I too love the contrast. The original kitchen was so well organized, I would have taken it for myself, any day.

Good job! Beautiful furbaby!

Nancy, I'm happy to see you, even though I've been mostly absent myself. Your kitchen looks great, and your dogs look happy! Good job on both!

Your kitchen looks so pretty! I'm picking out new kit/bath items right now. My cabinets look very similar to yours. It is fun to see what you chose for floors and counter tops.

Your avi changed size when they did some updates to the boards. Mine in oversized too.
