Have not purchased SW paint for a while and just curious if anyone knows the price of a gallon of the interior paint? I know that Duration is higher end but I am curious about the cost of a gallon of regular interior paint. Knowing they are having a 40% sale starting tomorrow and would like to know ahead of time what their regular prices. Thanks
I was in there yesterday and SW prices were listed at $50.99, which is ridiculous. The guy said the gallon of most of the lines would come to around $32.00 with the discount. That's about what the sale prices on other paint is in our area these days. (I think even Ben Moore has a good sale going on.) ??

In my area Duration starts around $50.-$51., when it is on sale it is totally worth it. Good quality paint lasts longer and has been, in my experience, easier to clean. My last house was a 4 bedroom victorian and every room was painted with S.W. The plaster walls took a really long time to cure but the colors and the durability were great.

SW Superpaint is excellent. SW Duration is also a premium quality paint, but I much prefer painting with Superpaint. I always use it. It's very durable and washable. A gallon gives excellent coverage. I think a gallon of Superpaint will cover approx. 350 sq. ft....I hope I have that right. I'm a believer that you get what you pay for especially with paint.
i just called their store! i'm planning on exterior painting, but haven't decided on a color... they said i can buy the paint at the sale price, and come back later and have it tinted to my color choice... i think that's good customer service...

For interior is it really necessary for the Duration or will the Superpaint be satisfactory?
Becca, I like the duration in kitchens, bathromms, and stairwells, where ever you're going to have to occaissionally wipe down the walls with a sponge.( Just remember to never wash your walls until weeks after they have bben painted.) Other than that the Super Paint has always worked for me. It just a good idea to remind people that paint is a lot like fabric in that durability has a lot to do with local climate and how hard or gentle the family is on the house.

I had the complete exterior of my stucco and stone home painted in January, and we opted to use SW's SuperPaint, rather than the Duration. Couldn't justify the extra expense. And, we live in Central Texas.
We used Superpaint on a previous home exterior here in Texas, and so far, after 8 years of baking in the sun, it is holding up quite well.
