Wall paint color suggestions Sign In/Join

hello I am new here and new to interior decorating but I need some help. I will begin redecorating my bedroom this weekend and I have no clue what color scheme or wall color I should go with. I attached pictures of my bedroom I took years ago to give you an idea of the furniture I have, size of my bedroom. It's a small master bedroom with 1 large and 1 small regular size window. The carpet is a sand or taupe kind of color. The furniture is not replaceable.

I am a 25 yr old woman and my tastes are cheap, minimalist, mature, relaxing, feminine, nothing bold. I like neutrals, green, red and blue.

I am planning on
*replacing the interior doors with 2 new white doors
*painting the window trim, baseboards & closet white
*buying new curtains, bedding & a rug
*buying other decorations, lamps and a new ceiling fan.

Also I'll be buying the paint from Lowes so I would gladly appreciate it if you could also post specific paint colors.

Have you picked out your new bedding?
Personally, I find it difficult to begin with paint colors without some sort of inspiration such as bedding a rug or drapes or even an art piece to grab color from that will translate to your walls.

Have your purchased any decorative items yet?

I agree. I would find some great bedding and then go from there for everything else. All the Dwell Studio bedding from Target is on clearance right now.

Would you sand and paint the furniture?

I definitely agree...shop for the bedding first as it will be the springboard for your entire bedroom. Find a pattern that speaks to you and one you won't soon tire of. Pull a color from it (hue value can vary) that will compliment the furniture and keep the bed as the room's main focal point.

Also, try to conceal electronics and any visual clutter to keep you space tranquil and relaxing. Don't overlook lighting in your design plan too.

If you're willing and able to paint the furiture (white or off white perhaps), and possibly update it's hardware, this will also breath new life into some traditional pieces.
