Just found this site which features eclectic style and has some unusual items.

Found some of their chandies interesting.

The center one is similar to a style I saw in a restaurant recently and I thought it looked like something I could make from T2T! Now all I have to do is find a nice little chandy and an old lampshade and put them together! Wink

A November issue of House and Gardens came into my possession this week and it featured Gwyneth Paldrows house in the Hamptons. I don't care much for the uber simplicity of her style but her dining room was a vision in classic calmness and it had one of the most intriguing light fixtures I have ever seen. Have actually thought quite a lot about that fixture.

Wow I love the lighting on the first website. Ideas, ideas... and I really liked Gwyneth's dining room light fixture. I wouldn't have expected her to decorate that way...

Did you notice Kim Myles made a fixture similar to the original one you posted with the chiffon type drum shade and crystal chandelier under it on her last show?

Hate to admit it but I don't think I've ever heard of Kim Myles before today. Don't think HGTV Canada carries the same shows and I hardly ever watch anyhow.

I'm sure we'll see more of this drum/chandy style as it would be fairly easy to make and IMO is an interesting style. The only chandies I've seen IRL like this were the ones in the restaurant and they were huge, maybe 6' across. Wish I'd gone out to the car to get my camera and take a pic.

Thanks L of S for suggesting that website and jo for posting. Some interesting decor there.
