Sorry, but as an avid reader you'll never be able to convince me that I could find a book I wanted in shelves arranged by color...LOL!

Just a new way of thinking, I suppose. If one was ambitious enough and so inclined, colorful book covers could be made and the bindings labeled. Seems like a lot of work tho. It may be an idea for renters craving colorful walls when they're not allowed to paint.

When i worked at a book store, people would always come in asking for the blue book or the red book.

LOVE IT!

I've done this with my cookbooks as I removed the book jackets and displayed them by color in my living room.

After 20 years of trying to keep library books in order on the shelves, this just makes my head hurt. JMHO...

I will admit that I have been color blocking my books for the last few years. One reason I do it is that it looks fun and fresh, and it is a trend that is easy to undo if I get tired of it.

The other reason is that I am a very visual person. When I am looking for a book my thoughts are usually something like, "where is that red book about such and such, or I need my little green book about flower arranging" etc. I can remember the color of a book even if I can't remember the title or author.
