Painted Lady house colors... Sign In/Join

I have been looking for inspiration color combinations - photos - but all I am finding are literally thumbnail photos or just a lot of text. I don't like the 7+ color examples, orange, lavender, maroon, etc. all mixed together. I need more refined & calm combinations. This is not for my little quasi-Mediterranean home - it is for a craft project. TIA if you can help!

How about a visit to your local paint store? Their brochures will show examples of exterior color schemes that might work for you.

Or perhaps the paint brand web sites will have more inspiration pics for you. Good Luck!

Gracie those are great! Those are the first I have seen where the photos are a decent size. I even like the bit of orange on one of them. Thanks!

I do plan on visiting the paint store when I get a chance & just try different combinations.

Any more photo sites?

I went to San Fran a couple of years ago. 1st on my list of things to see was the Painted Ladies. I was really surprised when I got there that the houses were kind of plain, not what I pictured. The houses around the Park and Square were actually painted brighter. I'll post a pic for you later. (its on another computer) Hope you can find the right colors you want. I know Sherwin Williams has a line of colors you might like. I think it is called Historical but not positive.

The first house was on the opposite side of Alamo Square from the Painted Ladies. The 2nd photo is next to the 1st house.
The 3rd photo is the Painted Ladies from the a view from the park across the street. It is where they filmed the park scene from the TV show Full House.
