We sent the loveseat off to be reupholstered to make sure we were going to like the outcome before sending the sofa as well. We found this fabric at Barn Fabric Center and picked it up during one of their sales for 4.99 yd.

It turned out great! He finished finished it in a day! We had him put us back on his list so we can get the sofa done next. It'll probably be sometime in January before he gets to us again. He's the best one around so I can wait. Smile

Whaddya think?

The loveseat matched the sofa which was probably upholstered 30 or 40 years ago. A refresh was well overdue.

Very nice Bella. In our area you have to schedule months ahead for the ONE good upholsterer. He stays busy but it's always worth the wait.

Beautiful! I've done that tufting so I know how difficult it is...one day? Amazing!

It is beautiful! I adore tufting (Not cleaning inside the little grooves though! LOL)

Your love seat is very elegant and stylish and charming and its choice shows you and Donnie love and maintain your furnishings.

I admire anyone who can do such difficult work. Here's to all the craftsmen and women in our lives!

Yeah, one day! Couldn't believe it. I had gone to Nashville for the birth of my first grandchild the day he picked it up. When I talked to Donnie the next day, he said the guy had called first thing that morning and said it was ready to deliver. I knew he was fast, but dang! He only works one person's stuff at a time and will redo everything you want done whether it is one piece or 50. Then he goes on the the next person. You don't end up with empty rooms for months at a time which is very nice. He even put the hooks that keep the cushion from moving around back on. I love this guy!

I couldn't find him for a while and since he has no answering machine, I had another place do the cushions for the chairs in the dining room. They're ok but lack the attention to detail that Joe has. The pattern on the seats don't line up with the pattern on the boxed areas. I had seen some of other things they had done at customer's houses and wasn't impressed. When someone said Joe had passed away, I gave them a try. Fortunately, Joe has NOT passed away-first cause hes a great guy, second because he's a great craftsman, so he'll continue to get all my business as well as any other I can send his way. Waiting for him is never a problem.

It's kind of funny that once I saw it, I wasn't sure I liked it as much as I thought I would. I had reservations from the beginning because it was so different than what I'm used to seeing and was a total mood change. Now that I've been around it a few days, I think it's fab! Once we get the other pieces done, we may need to reassess the wall color and accessories depending on how the overall "reads". I'm excited about it. I've only been waiting to redo this stuff for over a decade and now it's finally in motion.

One of my favorite things is that the tufting is puffy again. I'm delighted!

Love it! I'd be working hard to get everything that needs to be reupholstered before the fellow retires. He sounds like a gem and to do it in one day with all the tufting is unbelievable. What a work ethic he has.
