Shower curtain is best left open after bathing to allow air circulation and the area to dry out. Vent fan unit should run at least 20 minutes to exhaust humidity. This helps minimize mold/mildew problems. You can come back later and close the curtain.
i keep it close so that it can dry - keeps the mildew almost non-existant.....besides the view in the tub isn't very nice looking and i like my shower curtain
We leave our shower curtains closed as I believe they dry faster that way. Also wipe down the shower walls. Our climate is not damp and we usually turn our whole house exhaust system on several times a day so have no problem with mildew.

I use Method Daily Shower spray after each shower. Someone here told me about it and I love it!
My question was for decorating purposes. I have came across a few pictures where people have their shower curtain open and I guess to display the tile work!
Open at night to let the tile dry out; closed in the day to let the curtain dry out. That's my practical (cleaning) answer, (and what I do)...the decorating answer would be that I would leave it closed ALL the time, definitely!
This is to funny i was going to post this, i leave my closed so it dries, and i never get mold or crud on it. and i think it makes the bathroom look nicer.
Another closed vote but the liner gets washed fairly often. I can't stand the noise of a fan so shut that off immediately! But we have a stall shower so top is open. DH uses a squeegee to wipe down shower each day. I rarely shower so don't bother for mine LOL . . . that sounds funny, I mean I'm a bath person!
