Okay, I asked if anyone had the Country Curtains woven paper blinds and I guess no one does. Does anyone have a suggestion of a good place to buy curtains or bamboo blinds? I want curtains that are longer than 84" and lined. TIA

You want the woven blinds to be 84"? That's definitely custom...try JCP or Lowes or Blinds to Go. I bought some very inexpensive ones at Lowes, but the in-stock versions aren't that long.

The blinds only need to be about 64" long. I need longer curtains though.

I usually have draperies custom made by a local seamstress. They are not much more expensive than ready-made and are the exact length and style I want. Ready-made draperies are available at almost every retailer that has home goods and most online sites for those retailers feature customer reviews to give you an idea of the pros and cons of a particular product.

I haven't bought bamboo blinds lately, but I know the home improvement stores stock them as do places like 3-day Blinds. Sorry that I can't be more help.

With ready-made window treatments, you are limited by the standard sizes and lengths. Sometimes you can make it work, if your windows are not too unusually sized.

For instance, you can buy a 72" length ready-made bamboo shade and hang it higher than the top window casing, so it hits the sill when lowered. You can hang ready-made floor length curtains from the same height as the shade, so the overall look is consistent.

Country Curtains curtain lengths are generally 84", but you can find some in 96". Pottery Barn has longer length curtains, as does JC Penney. You may also want to check into Smith+Noble where you can order custom treatments online, generally for less than a storefront. http://www.smithandnoble.com/?...r6lLMCFS-RPAodZXUA9w

For the best result, custom is the way. But, it can be pricey. Depends on how simple or elaborate you want your window treatments to be.

Blinds for Less has good prices. You can put your measurements in and get prices and whatever they carry.

Thanks everyone for your help. I was hoping to see the perfect curtains or drapes somewhere to buy but I think I need to find fabric to make curtains like I want. (If I could figure out just what it is I really want.)
