DH and I went to an estate sale at this house the other day. What a beautiful house, built in 1817 (don't know why the realtor page says 1990 as it is much older) anyway it had been modernized; kitchen, baths, closets. What a beauty! Many fireplaces, pumpkin pine floors. My old little shop is just down the street from this house. Very interesting neighborhood and this house has a view of the bay from upper windows.

Beautiful house. I was going to "kiddingly" ask if you paid cash for it -- then saw it was under contract. Nice to know there are still folks around who can pay 3/4 of a million for a house. I wish there had been interior shots.

Oh, I love it....except for the window AC unit!

I really like central air.

I know of a couple who are paying 1M for a second house. So sure there are still people around like that. In fact I bet there are 10 or more houses in my town that are more than that. (going to check it out now!)

Yep, according to Zillow there are 11 such houses in my town for sale. However at the other end are condos probably starting at about 160K.

That's a good deal for a gorgeous home, IMO. You can get barely get a 1 or 2BR condo for $750,000 in NY or SF.

Where I live in a small (but charming Smile) Texas city away from the big urban centers like Austin, Dallas or Houston, there are many properties (primary and secondary homes) for over $750,000 and they do sell!

Oh, she is a beautiful older girl, isn't she? We also live in an area where people purchase their 2nd ( or in a few cases 3rd or 4th) homes and are able to spend millions on the property. Of course, the majority of those people depart our lovely island as soon as summer ends. Their homes are eye candy for us locals.
