Things are starting to get back to normal around here! I couldn't resist the opportunity to wish you all a month filled with good luck for your decorating and other dreams.

Keeping this on topic, I have finally decided upon what I want above our fireplace. We have lived here for 6 years and until recently I have been unable to find exactly what I have wanted. I have commissioned a 36 x 36 painting! The artist is doing two paintings in that size for me to choose from. I love her art and I love having first dibs! I will try to post a picture once our new art arrives.

Go on now, make this a good month!

I am up to my eyeballs in projects!
LOVE that feeling though to be totally immersed in thought and creative solutions.

I can't wait to see what your paintings look like!

AND finishing off our pantry work, so we can get to Phase II.

Hi Maine Lady! Can't wait to see your new art. Six yrs isn't too bad...it took me about 12yrs to find dining room chairs I wanted.

No projects for me this month since we're leaving for our place in Canada. I'll take some pictures of Mother Nature's decorating (my favorite kind).

Happy August to everyone.

Maine Lady, It's wonderful to see you starting this month welcoming thread again. Bunny, bunny rabbit back to you. I can't wait to see your painting.

Hey, Skyler, any chance you will be showing some little peeks of your Canadian retreat? I always picture it with lodge decor as opposed to the seaside cottage chic in your condo, but it could be super Modernist or...Smile

What does 'bunny, bunny, rabbit mean? Since I do not remember seeing this before, thought I would get it clear!

This will be a regular month thread?

Thank you, Beau's Rose!

MaryRuth, your pantry project is exciting! Bunny, Bunny, Rabbit is a saying that my family (and others, it seems) said the first thing, on the first day of every month. It is meant to wish / bring good luck in the coming month. DH and I have carried this tradition on with our children. Now that DD and DS do not live here we usually email or text the greeting. I also greet my students with BBR on the first of each month. For a while I did begin each month here on the board with the greeting and wishes. Then there were comments about too many OT things appearing on the board. Between that and DH's injury and recovery, I kind of let go of the greeting. Today, it just felt right to say it again.

Oh, Skyler, have a wonderful time at your cabin! I still remember the first time I saw pictures you shared from a vacation there. Serenity.

Thanks graciepj and Cocok! Hope the BBR wishes make this a great month for all of us!

Thank you, MaryRuth, Cocok, Georgia Peach and mamaspoon! I'm glad BBR makes you smile and I appreciate your supportive comments re: DH. Seeing him work hard and get stronger every day is one of G*d's gifts.
