I am having trouble with window treatments for my windows which are low on the wall - almost to the floor. It was an old farm house that has been renovated - but also the bedroom windows have been replaced with new easy care low-E vinyl tilt in windows - they were not repositioned higher on the wall. I have included a picture of the bedroom window. These windows really have me stumped on ideas. All creative ideas are greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

My personal choice would be a covered cornice box with a pull down shade.

I'd hang the rod at the ceiling height, and then put in sheers or lace panels. If you need privacy - hang a roll down shade in the window. That's about the best you can do - the ceiling isn't very tall - so even if they hung the window higher - you'd still have a short window.
Another choice would be to shirr onto two rods - top and bottom a sheer panel or lace panel. Shirred on there thick enough you'd not need a shade. |

Roman shades would be my suggestion. With a pretty fabric and perhaps a cornice topping it, it would blend with your decor.
